KazPetroDrilling JSC is a major independent drilling company in Kazakhstan that has been providing oil support services since 1965. The Company specialises in a wide range of well drilling, workover and abandonment, frac and well cementation services. Over 10 thousand people are currently employed by the Company.

Company History

2014
Exploration well drilling at the Ansagan field, design depth – 5,950 metres
2015
The deepest well has been drilled by Urichtau-Operating LLP with 4,658 m depth
2015
Drilling Rig SL-2500 has been erected with 590 ton lifting capacity and drilling depth of 7,000 m.
2016
Drilling of wells at the Rozhkovskoye and Chinarevskoye fields, with design depth of over 5,000 metres
2017
Drilling rig upgrade, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) implementation
2017
Establishment of own transportation company MUNAY KOLIK LLP through reorganisation of KMG-Drilling LLP
2018
Upgrade of one drilling rig belonging to Burgylau LLP
2019
The deepest well has been drilled by Urichtau-Operating LLP with 5,000 m depth.
2019
Tank manufacturing project for North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC) has been completed – 121 tanks were manufactured in 4 months (one tank per day).

Drilling

Our Company has 42 drilling rigs with 80 to 600 ton lifting capacity, drilling depth from 200 to 7,000 metres.

Types of services provided:

  • Oil and gas production and exploration well construction using mobile rigs;
  • Second hole cutting and drilling;

  • Horizontal well drilling;
  • Rig-up operation;
  • Cement and drilling fluid analysis in Chandler Engineering American laboratory;
  • Improved oil recovery technology.

Advanced well drilling technologies:

  • Utilisation of screw bottomhole engines in BHA, PDC bits, various polymer fluid systems (SRF Chem Services, Weatherford, Backer Hughes, Smith);
  • Foreign and CIS companies are engaged to improve well casing using various technologies (Schlumberger, Halliburton, Rompetrol, Russian companies etc);
  • Ejection technologies(UEGIS) are used to improve oil recovery during well development (hydraulic jet pump), hydromechanical slotted perforation, depletion perforation;
    Fibre glass pipes are used for injection well development;
  • Petroline system was implemented for efficient drilling mode monitoring;
  • The following advanced technologies are used in order to improve oil recovery, isolate aquifers and minimise wall water cut: WSP (water-swellable polymer); porous cement; plastic – KC.
